Inez Sears Wilson, 96, of Monroe, died on March 31. The daughter of the late Hollen Sears and the late Ollie Hooten Sears, she was born in Covington in 1913. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Veal Wilson, her daughter Jerry Wilson Morris Summerour and her grandson Michael Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jo and John Thompson of Monroe; brother Joe Sears of Covington; grandchildren Derek Thompson of Gainesville, Fla., Steve and Robin Thompson of Monroe, Greg and Renee Thompson of Monroe, Jenny and Greg Glass of Indianapolis, Ind., Cynthia Morris of Atlanta, and Joe Summerour of Sparta; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Monroe First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Margaret Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington.
