Holland Studdard Adams

Mr. Holland Adams, 76, of Rutledge, died Nov. 3. The son of Ralph David and Eula Pearl Studdard Adams, he was born in Social Circle in 1937. He was retired from General Motors. Mr. Adams was a member of Social Circle First Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener and cook. Both of these talents were part of his ministry to his community. He always planted enough to share with others. He will long be remembered for the cheese straws and cinnamon rolls that he cooked for others. He also carried on the long tradition of cooking “Papa Studdard’s” BBQ. He loved his family and his church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice Scott Adams; his children, Hollie Chastain and Don and Jeffrey Adams; grandchildren, Heather Adams and Greg Johnson, Chelsea Adams, Eric Adams, Scott Chastain and Lindsay and Derek Chastain and Julie; and great-grandchildren Taylor, Haley and Will Chastain.

The funeral service was Nov. 5 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment followed in the Studdard Cemetery.
