Mrs. Helena Walker Cooper, 85, of Sparta, Tenn., died Nov. 23 at Erianger Hospital, Chattanooga, Tenn. The daughter of the late Wesley M. and Ova Greer Walker, Mrs. Cooper was born in Sparta in 1922. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Stone Cooper and brother Ralph Walker.

Surviving are daughters Susan Wilson and husband Wayne of Conyers, Beth Cooper of Kennesaw, Vicki Cooper and husband Dave of Yorktown, VA.; brothers Denny Walker and wife Ann of Sparta, Russel Walker and wife Jo Ann of Sparta; sisters-in-law Willene Cooper of Sparta, Pauline Stewart and husband Jessie of Bowling Green, Ky., Marie Cooper of Melbourne, Fla., eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Central Church of Christ, Sparta, with Wayne Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Central Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Mrs. Cooper.
