Hazel McClure Jones of Mansfield, passed away February 27, 2012, at the age of 95. Mrs. Jones was a long time and faithful member of Mansfield United Methodist Church. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly, and will be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Harwell Jones, her son, James Harwell Jones and her parents, Jonathan and Mary (Thompson) McClure.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Don Wood of Covington; grandchildren, Don Wood III and his wife Debbie of Alpharetta; Jim Wood and his wife Claire of Huntsville, AL; Kristie Dame and her husband Chris of Cumming; Angela Gilmer of Conyers; great-grandchildren Anna, Emma, and Marion Wood; Joy and Callie Wood; Jacquelyn, Benton and Julianne Dame; Jessica Robinson and her husband Jimmy; and Will Gilmer.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jones will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012, 11:00 AM, at Mansfield United Methodist Church, with Pastor Todd Hilton officiating, and interment following in Starrsville Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Tuesday, February 28, from 7:00-8:30 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Mansfield United Methodist Church, 3031 N. Main Street, Mansfield, GA 30055.
