Mr. Harold King, age 85, of Covington passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015.  He was born in Lawrenceville Georgia on January 3, 1930.  Mr. King served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked for and retired from General Motors after 32 years and then worked for and retired from Stone Mountain Park working there for over 25 years.  Mr. King was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Collette King in 1996.  He is survived by his son Steve King (Regena) of Covington, his grandchildren; Matt Cook of Covington, Kristin Farrell (Nick) of North Carolina and Brooks King (Brittany) of Oakwood his great grandchildren Noah Cook, Anslie Cook, Sadie Cook, Graylynn Cook and Beau King.  Mr. King is also survived by his twin sister Sara Day of Covington along with several nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.  Funeral services for Mr. King will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceville.  The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm Saturday prior to the service.  J.C.
