Gloria Leatherwood Carson received her angel wings on May 2. She passed away at Westbury Nursing home under Brightmoor Hospice Care in Conyers. The daughter of the late Fred and Henrietta Pringle, she was born in 1930 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years Norman Carson. She loved to travel, spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attend church at North Covington United Methodist Church where she was a member of over 40 years.

She is survived by children Freddie Leatherwood (Jill Knight), Covington, Jimmy Leatherwood (Vikie) Oxford, Louise Lane Harrison and husband Jeffrey, Hampton; grandchildren Scott Lane, Tiffany Allen, Mandy Morgan, Jason Leatherwood, Kimberly Wilson, Nickolas Leatherwood and Ashley Lynn Leatherwood; great-grandchildren Tyler Morgan, Kyle Morgan, Cameron Allen, Alyxis Morgan, Nathan Wilson, Chloe Allen, Mayson Leatherwood, Ryland Leatherwood and Andrew Wilson; brothers Orville Pringle and Sam Pringle both of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada.

Funeral services were held May 6 at 11 a.m. at North Covington United Methodist Church. Interment followed at South View Cemetery.
