Gertrude Wood, 84, of Covington, died Dec. 14. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Wood was a homemaker and a member of Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by sister Mary Sue Ryer of Conyers and brother James Gordon of Commerce, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 17, at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens with Rev. Danny Evans officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
