Mrs. Geraldine D. Patrick, 74, a lifelong resident of Covington, died Feb. 15. The daughter of the late Van and Cassie Duke, she was born in 1934 in Newton County. Mrs. Patrick was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband E. W. Patrick Jr. and sisters Hazel Dooley and Shirley Boes.
Surviving are children and spouses Debbie and Frank Ellis, Wanda and Charlie Bagley, Jackie and Mark Day, Tina and Jeff Beam, all of Covington; brothers and sister-in-law Clayton and Pat Duke of Monticello, Terry Duke of Lavonia; sister and brother-in-law Rosemary and Billy Simmons of Covington; grandchildren Tonya, Jackie, Frankie, Crystal, Rhonda, Mark, Tara, Terry, Jessica, Justin, Todd, Matt and John; great-grandchildren Jake, Jada, Chase, Shane, Chance, Matt, Allison, Cassie, Trey, Sarah, Amy, Macy, Cody, Dayton, Trystyn.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 17 in the chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Brock officiating. Interment followed at Covington City Cemetery.
