Frances Elizabeth Willingham Housworth joined her husband in heaven on August 31, 2009, at the age of 93. A former resident of Newton County, she was a faithful and active member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church, in Conyers. Mrs. Housworth was an avid reader, and enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, tatting, and crocheting. She loved flowers and cooking for her family. Mrs. Housworth was preceded in death by her husband, John “Reuben” Housworth; parents, Beau and Clifford Turner Willingham; one sister; and two brothers. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Ellen Hair of Dalton, Nan and Dr. Richard Anderson of Cochran; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Marlene Housworth of Buckhead, GA, Mike and Debbie Housworth of Commerce; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Housworth will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009, 2 PM, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church, in Conyers, with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 2920 Highway 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094.
