Miss Florence Elizabeth Death, 87, of Milledgeville and formerly of Atlanta and Covington, passed away Sunday Jan. 2 at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. Miss Death was the daughter the late Charles Walter and Mary Thompson Death and was born in Cochise County, Ariz. She lived in Atlanta for many years and was a public school teacher. She proudly served her country during World War II in the U.S. Army as a nursing assistant. Miss Death was predeceased by her sisters Mary Eugenia Morley and Martha Death Smith.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews Thomas D. Morley, Mary E. Morley, Patricia S. Morley, Rosemary Morley, Randolph Smith, Clayton Ashley Smith and Amanda Ham; great-nieces and -nephews Daniel Keys, Matthew Keys and Heather Ham.

Funeral services for Miss Death will be held on at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 5, from the chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home with Mr. Bruce Eichenlaub officiating. Interment will follow at Covington City Cemetery. Friends may sign the online register at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
