Mrs. Faye Womac, 62, of Covington passed away May 4, 2013 at her residence.  She was born April 16, 1951 in Porterdale and was a lifelong resident of Newton County.  Mrs. Womac grew up in the First Baptist Church of Porterdale and worked as a nurse’s assistant for many years, her family said she had a caretaker’s heart and took great care of everyone.  She loved people and loved to talk.  Mrs. Womac was preceded in death by her father Ed Loyd, her brother and sister-in-law Ricky and Lynn Loyd and her sister Linda Loyd Durden.

Mrs. Womac is survived by her husband Mark Womac, her son Gannon Whitehead both of Covington, her mother Mrs. Flora Copeland of Conyers, her brothers and sister and their spouses; Barbara and Kenneth Reagan and Joe and Judy Loyd all of Covington and Jerry Lee Loyd of Conyers along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Mrs. Womac will be held at 2 O’clock Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.  J.C.
