E. Doss Cain of Mansfield passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Covington. He was born in 1929 at Shady Glen, Calhoun County, Alabama. 

He is preceded in death by his son Robert D. Cain, parents William P. and Lillie B. Cain, and six brothers and sisters. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie C Cain, daughter Angela C Pappas, of South Carolina, granddaughters Alexandra Pappas, of California, and Lydia Pappas, of Washington DC. He was a devoted member of Covington First Baptist Church where he leaves behind many wonderful longtime friends. Doss was blessed with a delightful extended family who is left to cherish his memory.

A celebration of life will be held in Alabama with family in June. 

In lieu of flowers, a tribute donation in memory of Doss may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.
