Elayne Lowery Hutchens, aged 72, who resided in Covington went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born in Newnan, on July 2, 1943, to Merrell and Pat Lowery.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Donald and her two grandchildren, Brian & Jennifer. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tommy J. Hutchens; their four children, Connie (Randy), Ronnie (Donna), Donna (Sean) & Jane (Tommy); one sister, Nancy Arrowood, three brothers, Joe, Walt & Russ Lowery; 8 grandchildren, Tiffany, Jessie, Ashley, Daniel, Audrey, Ali, Hannah & Keanan; and six great grandchildren; Brittany, Kaitlyn, Kaden, Jacob, Braylen and Madison.

Besides her family her greatest passion was her love for Christ and sharing His love with others from a very early age. She has left an impact on each and every life she has touched and will forever be adored.

The family will host a life celebration at Crossroads Baptist Church in Social Circle on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 5 p.m. The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA for visitation on Sunday, August 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and services will be held in the chapel at 4 p.m. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
