Edwin “Big Ed” Smith of Oxford, son of the late Henry V. Smith and Cledith (Smith) McCulloch, died April 16, 2010, at the age of 53. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Devra Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Kateri and Danny Worthington of Social Circle; son and daughter-in-law, Dominic and Angela Cooper of Covington; brother, Richard D. Smith of Covington; grandchildren, Dawson, Kobi, Cameron, Gavin, Zack, Tyler, Aaron and Dillon; nieces and nephews, Shannon Brock, Ken Smith and Wanda Smith. A Memorial Service for Mr. Smith will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 24, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Paul Ficarrotta, officiating.
