Edith W. Ellsworth, age 81, died January 1, 2011, at Great Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Monroe, GA, where she had made her home for the past two-and-a-half years.  A business woman her entire life, she owned and operated a swimming school in Haines City, FL.  After moving to Fort Lauderdale, FL, she owned and operated Nina Michelle Boutique before she retired to Bay Point, FL.  Mrs. Ellsworth moved to Georgia in 2007 to be near her family.  A member of the Methodist faith, she was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Ellsworth, Jr., her parents, Brian Oscar and Lela Mae Mathews Bjorklund, a grandchild, Gina Marie Alesi, and a step-son, Warren Ellsworth III.

 

Mrs. Ellsworth is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte and Joel Alesi of Covington, GA and Theresa Therrien of Fort Lauderdale, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Nanette Whittington of Boynton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Cherie and Vince Frankson, Charles II and Colette Alesi, Jonathan and Alet Whittington, Aimee' and Rick Sherman, Clayton Therrien and Sean Therrien; great-grandchildren, Bernadette, Luke and Amanda Frankson, Casen Alesi, David, Olivia and Lela Sherman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Don Hagler, Lucy and Gene Kelly, of Panama City, FL; step-children, Valerie and Dan Gattis of Chicago, IL and Christie and Brad Holt of McLean, VA; and 5 step-grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ellsworth will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL, with interment following in Forest Hill Cemetery, 1001 E. Grace Ave., Haines City, FL 33844. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10-11 AM.
