Eddie Dean Lackey, 61, of Covington passed away May 2, 2016. Mr. Lackey was of the Baptist faith, and was employed with Kliklok Woodman for 40 years. Eddie was an avid hunter, and he especially enjoyed hunting deer, wild boar, turkey and duck. In addition, a favorite pastime was salt and fresh-water fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Mary Ray Lackey.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Jody and Crystal Lackey of Covington, Randell Lackey of Spring City, Tennessee; grandchildren, Calley Lackey, James Lackey, Sierra Lackey; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and Glendon Byron Bagley of Buford; brother, Dennis Lackey of Covington; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Mr. Lackey will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, 4 p.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family for visitation at the funeral home Friday, May 6, from 5-8 p.m.
