Earle Dean Wyant

Mr. Earle Dean Wyant of Oxford, passed away April 11, at Rockdale Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 15, 1931 in Elmhurst, Ill., to Kenneth and Bernice Hanan Wyant.

He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in electrical engineering and worked for many years at RCA and retired from Boeing.

During his career, he traveled all over the world and experienced many cultures. He served our country in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Wyant is survived by his wife Patricia Wyant of Oxford; daughters Karen D. Wyant of Oxford, Laura Denise Urciuolo of Natick, Mass., Donna Kaye Sizemore of Oxford, Teresa L. Townley of Monroe, Tammy L. Almasian of Watertown, Mass.; stepson Randy Mitchell of Hartwell; stepdaughter Pamela Murphy of Hartwell; stepson Timothy Bartley of Coaltown, Ohio; sister Doreen Carden of Haltom City, Texas; 26 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Edith Hinton Wyant, his parents Kenneth and Bernice Hanan Wyant and his sister Kathleen Badenhop.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Marie Hatcher and Rev. Ken Sirmans officiating. Interment will be at Newborn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.
