Doris S. Renfroe, 84, of Covington, passed away Dec. 16. She enjoyed her job, at Wal-Mart, working as a greeter; and loved to fish, cook, and go to Braves games. She had a very generous heart, was always willing to do without so that others might have what they needed, and had a special love for children. Ms. Renfroe was preceded in death by her daughters Joyce Renfroe and Carolyn Renfroe.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cecil and Jean Renfroe of Comer, Diane Giles of Covington, Marie Scarborough of Ellijay, and Joann Payne, Wayne Renfroe, and Glenn Renfroe, all of Cumming; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 19 at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ricky L. Bradford Jr. and Pastor Sammy Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 18.
