Dennis Michael Johnson "Mike," 55, passed away Jan. 31 at Embracing hospice in Snellville. He is survived by his mother Betty Anne James of Atlanta; daughters and sons-in-law Jessica and Barry Mize of Monroe, Jennifer and Corey Peace of Monroe; son Michael Brian Johnson of Suwanee; 9 grandchildren; sisters Vikki McConnell of Danbury, Texas, Susan Tate of Bethlehem, Karen Thacker of Covington, Debbie Cronan of Dalton; brother Scott James of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father Howard Crawford James, sister Cherry Anne Johnson and brother Timothy Shawn James. Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Mike Johnson to Children's healthcare of Atlanta-Scottish Rite.
