                                                                               Obituary
Deacon Henry Thomas Johnson was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Johnnie (Sweetie (Wyatt) Johnson. He was called home on July 26, 2014.

He joined and served in the United States Army from 1940 until 1942. In March 1958, he wed Jewel White and together they raised one son, Mr. Kenneth Charles Johnson.

Joyously awaiting him in heaven;  his wife, Mrs. Jewel Johnson, his parents Mr. & Mrs. Johnnie (Sweetie) Johnson, five brothers and three sisters.

He served faithfully on the Good Hope Baptist Church Deacon Board until his failing health.

After serving many years and retiring from McLean Freight Lines, "Thomas" started his own business, Johnson Movers. He was a charitable and active figure in the Springhill Community. He was willing to help anyone out in their time or need. He provided many young men in the Springhill Community by offering jobs with his moving business. "Thomas" brought the Covington area together every Sunday with his baseball team, the Springhill Reds, by hosting baseball games and tournaments.

He leaves to cherish his memories; one son, Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth (Deborah) Johnson, five grandchildren, Ms. Keywander Floyd, Shellinda, Bridget, Mr. & Mrs. Jarvis (Patrice) Johnson and Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth (April) Usher, three great grandchildren, Jasmine, Bailey and Bryce, one sister, Ms. Ruth Ivey, two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
