Mr. Danny Boothe, age 62, of Covington formerly of Hollywood, Florida passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.  He was born September 28, 1951 in Hollywood, Florida to his father, who has preceded him in death, Barlar Boothe and his mother who survives him Louise Murray Menefee now of Jacksonville, Florida.  Danny was retired from Delta Airlines and worked as a Passenger Service Agent at the time he retired in 2005.  He also worked for Pan America and National Airlines during his career.  Danny enjoyed playing golf and was a member at the Oaks Golf Course.  He also enjoyed his Harley Davidson that he received as a gift from his daughter and son-in-law.  Danny was preceded in death by his brother Darwin Boothe and is survived by his wife Elizabeth Boothe of Covington, his daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Anthony Martin of Tampa, Florida, his grandchildren Mia Collado and Bryson Martin, his brother Barlar “Mickey” Boothe and his brother’s finacee Karen Ptak of Covington, his sister Sondra Shaw of Covington.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Danny and Nina Spohn, Tammy Boothe and Bobby Boothe along with his great nieces Izabella Spohn, Keanna Spohn and Brittany Owens.  A memorial service for Mr. Boothe will be held at 2 o’clock, Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the East Newton Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Lee officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Shepherd Center Foundation, 2020 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30309 or on-line at www.shepherd.org/charitable-giving/make-a-gift.  J.C.
