Clara Ruth Morgan, of Covington, passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at 88 years of age. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Morgan adored spending time with her family, especially cooking meals for them. When not entertaining her loved ones, she liked to eat meals out – Mexican and oysters being two of her favorite foods. Mrs. Morgan also delighted in reminiscing about the past and revisiting where she once lived. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Alice (Darly) Thomas.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Pam Morgan, of Monroe; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Bill Bouton of Cumming; son, Charles Morgan, of Buckhead; grandchildren, Tracy Hernandez, Dwayne Morgan, Melisa Jackson, Lee Morgan, Adam Morgan, Pam Morgan, Rodney Schoenfeld, Erica Reynolds, Elicia Fick; 22 Great Grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Morgan will be held Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, 2 p.m., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams and David Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 12 noon – 2 p.m.
