Mrs. Clara Dunevent, 82, of Porterdale, passed away on Feb. 1.
Mrs. Dunevent retired from Covington Molding after 25 years of service. She loved her family and enjoyed preparing meals and having them over on holidays. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and listening to gospel music. Mrs. Dunevent was preceded in death by her parents Ernest B. and Sadie Mae Mask; and brother Ernest Edward Mask.
Survivors include her husband John Dunevent of Porterdale; daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and Joe Jordan of Porterdale, Kathy and Gary Bradford of Covington; sons Terry Dunevent of Covington, John Dunevent of Porterdale; grandchildren Kimberly and Joel Brewer of Porterdale, Jodie and Dennis Volkart, Lamar and Kristen Bradford all of Covington, Delaine and Larry Cason of Newborn; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lisa Mask of Oxford, Ala.; step-sister Vivian Bowman of Covington; special cousins Mattie Cook and Emmett Chapman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Mrs. Dunevent will be held today at 3 p.m., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m.
