Cheryl Lynn Churchill, 50, of Covington passed away November 13, 2016. She was born November 29, 1965, in Covington to her father George Allen, Jr., who survives her and her mother, Florence Underwood Churchill who preceded her in death. Cheryl Churchill loved to fish, was a devoted Norte Dame Football Fan and enjoyed watching movies and nothing touched her heart more than her grandchildren. She was employed as a case worker for years with the Newton County Department of Family and Children Services.
Cheryl Churchill is survived by her his husband, Brian Churchill; her children, Laura Churchill of Indianapolis, Angel Elder (Marvin) and her sons, Timothy and Brian of Covington and Patrick of Gainesville; her nine grandchildren; her father, George Allen, Jr.; her brother, John Allen of Covington; her sister, Diane Reynolds of Newborn; her nieces and nephew, Mary, Dianna and Steven; her beloved dog, Peaches; along with numerous other family and close friends.
Funeral services for Cheryl Churchill will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend J. Clifton Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. J.C.
