Charles Joseph Knarr of Oxford, passed away April 15, 2011, at the age of 67. He was a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, as well as the United Methodist Men of Allen Memorial. Mr. Knarr retired from Bridgestone, in Covington, as a Computer Programmer. He enjoyed woodwork, photography, model trains, barbecues, sailing, traveling, and reading. He was a member of the Oxford Lions Club. Mr. Knarr was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Dorothy Elizabeth (Kurtz) Knarr.
Survivors include his wife, Ellin Knarr of Oxford; daughter and son-in-law, Katrina Anne and Tevis Bartlett of White River, SD; sons and daughters-in-law, Karl Ai and Lilian Knarr of Carmel, IN, Kenneth Allen and Kelly Knarr of Willow Branch, IN; 12 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Joan Ai and Paul Herrmann of Albion, IN; brother and sister-in-law, David and Marlene Kurtz of Agawam, MA; 8 nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Knarr will be held Monday, April 25, 2011, 1:00 PM, at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, in Oxford, with Rev. Brian Dale officiating.
