Mrs. Carolyn Ann Cheek, age 81, of McDonough passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016.  She was born October 23, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to the late William Absalom and Helen Bish Coffield.  Mrs. Cheek was Methodist by faith and member of Union Methodist Church.  She served her country in the United States Air Force and spent her career working as a project manager for the Veteran’s Administration.  Mrs. Cheek lived in various places around the country and no matter where that was, she had her favorite restaurants.  She always enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends no matter the destination she knew the best places.  Mrs. Cheek also loved to travel, go on vacation and was a talented artist.  While living in Alaska she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Al Aska Shrine Temple and a member of the clown unit.  Her true passion in life was her family and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. 

Mrs. Cheek is survived by her sons; Mike Cheek (JoAnn) of Mansfield, Mark Cheek (Deborah) of Rochester, NY, her sister-in-law; Darlene Coffield of Pemberville, OH, her 8 grandchildren and her 5 great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends. 

A celebration of life for Mrs. Cheek service will be held 7 o’clock Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior and following the service.  J.C.
