Butch Woodruff, of Covington, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at 73 years of age.  Known as a dedicated, determined, and dependable man, Butch was a proud and very goal-driven man.  He loved being outside, where he put his gardening skills into practice.  In addition to being a NASCAR and Georgia Tech fan, Butch enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.  He cherished the time he spent with his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Grace (Lynch) Woodruff. 

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Woodruff; daughters and sons-in-law, Deidra and Larry Harper, all of Covington, Robin and Donny Herron of Social Circle; grandchildren, Destiny Harper, Tommy Herron; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Earl Tolleson of Newborn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Woodruff will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Al Martin officiating.  Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 6 – 8 p.m.
