Mrs. Beverly Jean Reid Nolley died Jan. 8. The first child of five children and daughter of Mr. Robert Reid and the late Mrs. Elsia Reid, she was born in 1960 in Covington. She attended Newton County public schools and the family church Little Bethel Baptist Church. An excellent cook, Mrs. Nolley was a valued employee at Jim Stalvey’s Restaurant for over 20 years. During her spare time she enjoyed writing poetry. Mrs. Nolley was very out-going and warm-hearted with a loving and caring spirit. She loved being around people, especially children, and was loved by them in return. She would do anything for anyone whenever she could. She was the proud mother of one son whom she adored.

Surviving are her husband Mr. John Wayne Nolley; son Joel Reid; father Mr. Robert S. Reid; brothers Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. (Montlyn) Reid, Mr. Kenneth Reid and Mr. Donrecarr Reid; sister Ms. Patricia Reid; uncle Mr. and Mrs. R. L. (Juanita) Bell; aunts Mr. and Mrs. Judson (Mae Ola) Banks, Mrs. Zora Weaver and Mrs. Willie Jean Bell; nieces Shaneaka Reid and Tygeria Reid; nephews Marcus Reid, Demario Reid, Michael Avis, Javon Reid and Terrence Reid; step-brother Tarvares Reid; and a host of other loving relatives and numerous friends.

Funeral services were held Jan. 15 at Little Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tracy Gaither, the Rev. Theodis Bell Jr, the Rev. Willie Jackson and Minister Algae Kemp officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
