Barbara Thomas of Covington, died June 1, 2009, at the age of 68. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, cooking, and the mountains. Mrs. Thomas dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Thomas, III; and parents, Joseph and Ann Smith Mieszalski. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Bell of Monroe; sons and daughter-in-law, Lee and Brooke Smith of Covington, Doug & Tina Moore of FL; grandchildren, Courtney, Joey, Nikki, Stephen, J.B., Justin; sisters, Joanne Campbell of VA, Joyce Mieszalski of TX; brothers, Joseph Mieszalski, Michael Mieszalski, both of FL; several nieces and nephews. A Private Memorial Service for Mrs. Thomas will be held at a later date.
