Barbara Geary Wright, 87, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016, at Dogwood Forest of Acworth. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family first and foremost. She was an active member of First Christian Church of Atlanta and worked closely with the YAARAB Red Devil Clowns. Barbara enjoyed quilting, tutoring adults and was an avid gardener. She was born in Cullman, Alabama to the late John and Nancy Catherine Ganong Geary and grew up in Decatur, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Kenneth Wright.

Barbara is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Geary and Teri Wright of Greensboro, North Carolina and daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Rich Stannard of Acworth, along with grand-daughters Meghan Kidd, Katy DeBenedetto, Erica Choi, Jolie Stannard and Jamie Stannard, and great-grandson Caiden Kidd.

Memorial services were held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
