Annie Lee (Wheeler) Parish, 91, of Covington, passed away peacefully at Abbey Hospice, Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was born Feb. 6, 1927, in Porterdale to Ira and Ruthie (Daniel) Wheeler. 

Annie Lee was Cafeteria Manager in the Newton County School System for many, many years. She was also a longtime member of High Point Baptist Church and kept the nursery. 

She was preceded in death in 1978, by her loving husband, E. Lanier Parish; parents; brothers, Ed Wheeler, John Wheeler, Jerry Wheeler. Annie Lee is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Belinda Parish of Conyers, Robert and Annie Lee Parish of Covington, and Raymond and Mollye Parish of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joel Maddeaux of Inverness, Florida; sister, Betty Harvey of Social Circle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Pat Wheeler of Conyers, Jack and Miriam Wheeler, Bill Wheeler, Bob and Ann Wheeler, all of Covington, and; grandchildren, Natalie Parish, Noah Parish, Dylan Parish, Dwayne Parish, Darlene Hudgins, Lee Parish, Joel Maddeaux, Jr, and Kimberly Lee; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will began at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1215 Access Rd, Covington, GA 30014 with Minister Curt Zehner officiating. The family received friends at Wheeler Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
