Alex Cooper, age 21, of Covington passed away March 29, 2013.  He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 10, 1991 and grew up in Covington.  Alex was a 2010 graduate of Alcovy High School and currently attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.  He served his country in the United States Army and was currently employed with Publix in Conyers.  Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Frances Minor and Robert and Janet Cooper.

 

Alex is survived by his parents Andy and Sharon Cooper of Covington, brother and sister-in-law Andrew, Jr. and Amanda Cooper of Dunwoody, nephew Everett Cooper and his special friend Mary Edmondson.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles; Margaret Head of Fayetteville, Mike and Angela Minor of Hampton, Jack and Diane Minor of Covington, Barbara Nix of Covington, Bobby and Becky Cooper of Spokane, Washington, Tim and Sheri Cooper of Carrollton, Tom Cooper of Zebulon and Joe Cooper of Griffin along with numerous other family and close friends.

 

Funeral services for Alex will be held at 2 O’clock Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Tim Gallagher and Monsignor Gracz officiating.  Interment will follow at Jonesboro City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 4pm until 8pm on Monday, April 1, 2013.  J.C.
