Albert (Al) Boozer, Jr., of Conyers, passed away April 15, 2012, at the age of 74. Mr. Boozer retired from Sweetheart Plastics with 31 ½ years of dedicated service. He was a very active member of The Potter's House, in Covington. He often helped any way he could at the church, and always took care of the church's electrical needs. He enjoyed camping, and especially enjoyed visiting Vogel State Park. Mr. Boozer loved children, and always made time to spend with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert, Sr., and Mary (Parker) Boozer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Boozer of Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Mary Boozer of Kingsport, TN; sisters, Agnes McCord, Patsy Duvall, both of Rome, GA; brothers, Robert Boozer of Minnesota, Billy Boozer of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Mack Boozer, Lanette Villanueva; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Boozer will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 2:00 PM, at The Potter's House, 1120 Crowell Road, in Covington, with Pastor Sammy Williamson and Pastor Michael Patterson officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
