A water main break closed Monticello Street from Pennington Street to Conyers Street for a few hours last Tuesday.

Very few customers were without water and service was restored by 8 p.m. said deputy city manager Billy Bouchillon.

“The leak wasn’t as big of a deal as it looked like,” Bouchillon said.
