God's Concerned Citizens will sponsor its first voter registration drive for 2012 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Porter Memorial Library, on Ga. Highway 212 next to Oak Hill Elementary Schools.
"Persons who haven't registered to vote should do so. I encourage each person to come out and register to vote and not to wait until 30 days before the primaries," said Deputy Registrar and Minister Elizabeth Partridge-Godfrey.
"Waiting until the last minute is not a wise thing to do as things can go wrong and greatly delay the registration process."
Godfrey believes early voter registration is essential in cutting back on potential errors.
