Vandals wielding cans of spray paint were busy over the weekend, defacing cars, homes, lawn decorations and neighborhood and county signs, according to police.
The Newton County Sheriff's Office reported 22 incidents between 1 a.m. Saturday and 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
One vandalized garage door reportedly had vulgar images of the human anatomy painted on it. Another was branded with the Star of David.
One stop sign at the entrance of the intersection of Smith Store Road and Whispering Pines Drive reportedly had profanity painted across it. The words found on a "slow children at play" sign and a "dead end" sign - also found near the intersection - were also altered by the vandalism.
No arrests have been made in connection with the reports.
