Two men were arrested and charged with having sex with and impregnating a 10-year-old family member after the girl’s relatives in Newton County reported the incident.

According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Danny Lee Arnold, 19, was charged with incest, child molestation, cruelty to children and sexual battery. His brother, 21-year-old Thomas Marcus Arnold, was charged with incest, child molestation, cruelty to children, sexual battery and aggravated sodomy.

The brothers were arrested Monday by agents from the GBI and the U.S. Marshal’s Service in Union City following an investigation by the GBI and the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

The NCSO was initially contacted by officials from the county’s Department of Family and Children Services office after they learned the victim was pregnant and the NCSO contacted the GBI for assistance on May 3 when it was determined that the incidents occurred in Union City, in Fulton County.

The investigation revealed that the 10-year-old girl had been a victim of the molestation for several years. She is now in the care of other relatives.

Also arrested was the aunt of the Arnold brothers, Lisa Arnold, 28, who investigators learned had engaged in a sexual relationship with her two nephews. All three are related to the victim. Lisa Arnold was charged with incest.
