Two people were killed Thursday night, and two high school teens were injured, when one vehicle attempted to speed away from a Georgia State Patrol trooper.

Barnes was driving a Honda Accord around 9:35 p.m. Thursday when a trooper reportedly noticed the car go past at a high rate of speed, illegally passing other vehicles on double yellow lines.

The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but according to GSP spokesman Gordy Wright, Barnes refused to stop. He lost control while passing a vehicle near Cedar Creek Drive on Ga. Highway 36, began to rotate and traveled into the southbound lane, where he was hit on the right side by on oncoming Honda Pilot being driven by William Nicolaus Tanner, 17. Amy Michelle Daniecki, 18, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Barnes and Anglin were killed in the crash, and Tanner and Daniecki, both Eastside High School students, were taken to Atlanta Medical Center for Treatment.
