New Leaf Visions Work Force Development and Georgia in conjunction with Georgia Piedmont Technical College are offering a Workplace Fundamentals Certification Program called New Leaf for Newton.

This program consists of classes deigned to help the unemployed and displaced person obtain employable job skills and training, including Work Ready, Forklift Truck and OSHA certifications, Total Quality Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Just-In-Time Manufacturing, Employee Involvement, Soft Skills and more.

This is a seven-week program beginning March 24, 2014 with classes meeting Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. In order to participate, you must be unemployed, a Newton County resident and committed to attending class. At the end of the certification course, there will be a graduation ceremony.
