The mother of a missing toddler has been located, according to an early morning email from Newton County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) Public Information Officer Sgt. Cortney Morrison. 

Late Thursday afternoon, NCSO located an unidentified black male toddler secured in a car seat on the side of Highway 11 near Patrick Road in Covington. The toddler was flown to a local area hospital as a precautionary measure but appeared uninjured upon initial contact.
