ATLANTA- Authorities say storms blowing through metro Atlanta toppled trees, killing at least three people and knocked out power to about 200,000 customers statewide.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said there were wires and trees down across the city Thursday night.

Jones said another tree toppled onto a UPS truck, catching it on fire.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the storms knocked out power to nearly 25,000 in metro Atlanta.

Authorities say the stormy weather also led to delays of more than two hours for flights leaving Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Two people were killed when a tree fell on a truck. Atlanta station WSB-TV reports a third person was killed in Cobb County when a tree fell on him while he was clearing debris from a driveway.
