Members of the Newton County Theme School (NCTS) Student Council recently presented a check for $600 to the Garden of Gethsemane Homeless Shelter. The Theme School student council raised money through a school store and their annual talent show. They also delivered unopened food items from end-of-year celebrations to the shelter.

“The students did a wonderful job this year of raising money,” said Cathy Moll, teacher sponsor of the NCTS student council. “They also gathered food from school holiday parties to deliver to the center.

“This year’s officers needed little guidance. They took their responsibilities and ran with them. I’m very proud of all they have accomplished,” she said.
