Cleanup crew: Members throughout the community participated in The Great American Cleanup on Saturday, March 27, sponsored by Keep Covington/Newton Beautiful. Participating groups took to the streets, rivers and forests of Newton County, picking up any trash or other rubbish they could find.

A group begins their expedition at the Kroger on Ga. Highway 278. (L-R): Front: Charlotte Johnson, Joyce Lancaster and Wayne Vincoli. These bags of trash, among other things, were collected at and around the Covington Square.
