Skeletal remains found on Thanksgiving have been identified as those of Griffin teen 18-year-old Aron Samuel Lee Hudson who was last seen in February 2011.

A man was out riding a four-wheeler in a wooded area off Odum Street in North Covington when he discovered the remains Thanksgiving evening. The area where the body was found is part of a planned subdivision that never had any homes built in it, only roads. From the beginning investigators from the Covington Police Department said they did not suspect foul play due to the evidence found at the scene.

The remains were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and, after a thorough forensic examination, they were identified as those of Hudson. The teen had last been seen by his family in January 2011 and by authorities at the CPD in February 2011. He had been placed on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website in April 2011 and his disappearance was being investigated by the GBI and the Griffin Police Department.

According to a press release from the CPD, the "GBI Medical Examiner's Office could not determine the exact cause and time of death; however, based on the evidence recovered, it appears that the cause of death was suicide."
