A teenage girl who called deputies to report that she was a victim of sexual battery was arrested and charged with providing juveniles with pornography, as well as filing a false police report.
Keia Vantrece Amos, 17, was charged with aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and false report of a crime Saturday. Deputies from the Newton County Sheriff's Office were called to her home by her. She reportedly told them someone had touched her inappropriately.
While the investigation didn't show that she was necessarily lying about the touching, it did show that the accusations came from a different county and happened several years before.
It also revealed, according to NCSO Lt. Tyrone Oliver, that Amos had shown juveniles pornography on the home computer. While it does not say which child was shown the inappropriate material - or if all were - there are juveniles in the home aged 13, 8 and 6.
Amos was arrested and transported to the Newton County Detention Center. The investigation into her accusations of someone abusing her previously are still under investigation, according to Oliver.
