Helping out Eastside's athletic teams has never been as tasty as it will be Saturday.

Eastside is hosting its Taste of Eastside from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with tickets going for $10 each. Tickets can be purchased from any Eastside athlete, good for six plates of samples from more than a dozen restaurants throughout the Newton County community.

Some of the restaurants will be Pacho's, Plain Nuts, Covington Diner, Gigi's Bradley's RL's, Just Dogs, Sweet Treats and Mango Tango.

Vendors present will include Titan Team Sports, Wall Hanger Famers, Curbside Waste, LA Fitness and Maggie's Attic.

Maggie Attic/Your Sisters Closet will also be part of the silent auction, along with such establishments as Tava's Subway, Wildlife Turkey Federation, Snapper Lawn Equipment, Bowl and Wisk, Bridgestone and others.

Dozens of area establishments are participating.
