Tomorrow, Oct. 6, mutts from around the county are invited to participate in the Humane Society's annual Newton County Mutt Show fundraiser.

It will be hosted on the Covington square.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and judging will begin at 10 a.m. All dogs that are leashed, vaccinated and at least 6 months old are welcome to enter. There is no cost to participate, but donations are welcome.

There will be five categories for judging: Face Only a Mother Can Love, Most Beautiful, Most Handsome, Best Dressed, and Best Trick. First, second, and third place ribbons will be awarded in each category.

No crabby or vicious dogs (or owners) allowed.
