Children looking to brush up on their athletic skills and stay fit this spring break can do so during a conditioning camp hosted by Alumni for Youth at Alcovy High School, a nonprofit organization geared toward assisting young men and women to become outstanding citizens.

“Spring into Shape,” will take place April 1 through April 3, where participants will have the chance to get active and learn more about athletics.

The camp takes place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the football field at Alcovy High School.

The cost of the camp is $5 per day or $10 for all three days. Payment is due on the day of the camp.

Within the program, students will learn explosion drills, football skills, agility, play competitive games, and have the opportunity to speak with adults from around the country about their prospective goals with sports.

The camp is open to youths age 8 and up.

All camp participants are asked to dress in comfortable clothing and to bring or wear tennis shoes or cleats.

Parents will also have a chance to stay fit during the camp as they will have the opportunity to meet and participate with a licensed trainer.

Registration for the camp will begin each day at 5 p.m. with activities beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m.

For more information about the camp, call 770-833-1742 or email Bobby Maddox at maddox.bobby@newton.k12.ga.us.
