Social Circle's Lighting of the Tree will take place today at 5:30 p.m.

There will be free activities for children, community choire performances, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hay rides and a marshmallow roast with the local fire department.

The tree lighting goes toward supporting local scout troops.
