Snapping Shoals EMC’s Annual Meeting of the Members will be held Thursday, July 15, at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers. Registration and activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. Registration closes at 1:15 p.m., and the business session will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Snapping Shoals members will meet under the shelter of the Charles Walker Arena, where there will be several hundred chairs set up in addition to the bleacher seating. Plenty of free parking will also be available. Snapping Shoals will provide free soft drinks and snow cones throughout the day, and a variety of foods may be purchased from the Horse Park for lunch. Highlights will include informational booths, a health fair, children’s games, registration gifts and a drawing for prizes.

The grand prize this year is a 2003 Ford F-250 that is being retired from the Snapping Shoals fleet. Other prizes include a color television, DVD player and microwave oven, to name just a few. The oldest married couple in attendance will receive a $100 credit on their Snapping Shoals power bill. You must be a Snapping Shoals EMC member, be registered at the meeting and be present for the drawing to be eligible to win a prize.
